About the position

As a Product Tester at Retro Studios, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of pre-released software for Nintendo's next-generation platforms. This onsite contract position requires you to develop and execute comprehensive test plans that confirm developer requirements while identifying defects in the software. You will be responsible for creating detailed reports of defects on a daily basis, which will be shared with the development staff to facilitate timely resolutions. Your work will involve conducting compliance testing to ensure that the software meets regulatory and performance standards, as well as testing for reliability and consistency to ensure a defect-free product. In addition to testing software, you will verify resolved defects to maintain quality control and work closely with Retro Production and development staff to debug issues. You will also assist in testing in-house development tools and drivers for various software updates. Your role will require you to support the development staff by testing new features and gimmicks, carrying out routine tasks and procedures, and operating within the context of defined procedures. You will receive work in the form of short-term assignments with processed outlines, allowing you to contribute effectively to the development process. Responsibilities

  • Basic development tools experience.
  • Working knowledge of video game development process.
